Spring Blooms
This conceptual piece originated with an intention of allowing the alcohol inks to expand outward from the pool of silicone oil it was riding upon from the centre of the canvas. I observed the slow flow of the inks, and added more to enhance the colours and tones, and manipulated the tilt of the canvas to create the composition. Luminous liquid acrylic paint and mica pigments were added to the centre as the expansion continued, resulting in a beautiful Spring bloom!
