Colour Swatches

To help ensure I understand your vision, and for you to get a better sense of how it will fit in your environment, I will send you real-life canvas colour swatches freshly made for you after our initial discussions.

This will help you to choose the colours for you bespoke piece of art, and we will have another discussion for you to confirm your selection.

Mockup Visualisation

I will get you to send me photographs and measurements of the area you will be displaying the piece of art. I will then do an approximate mockup to give you an idea of how the piece of art (the dimensions and selected colours) will look in your space.

Although the actual image of the commissioned piece will of course be different to the artwork image in the mockup, it will give you a good idea of whether the dimensions and colours will enhance the environment if displayed in that space.

Quote and Deposit

Once you confirm that the dimensions and the colours match your vision and suit the intended display space, and you wish to proceed to the next step, I will finalise and provide you with a quote for your bespoke piece of art.

Although your quote will be unique depending upon the custom piece, as a guide in relation to my experience for the investment of time and materials required from beginning to end for unique customised artwork, bespoke commissioned pieces start from $800 for small canvases, from $2500 for medium canvases, from $5000 for large canvases, and from $11000 for extra large canvases (refer to the sizes listed on the Contact page).

If you agree with the quote and decide to commission your bespoke piece of art, a retainer of 50% is required as a non-refundable deposit to formally commence the creative process. The remaining 50% is not due until the piece of art is finalised and ready to be shipped.

The Creative Process Begins

I purchase all the materials required and commence creating your bespoke piece of art. I will send you photographs as updates to keep you informed of the progress of your piece.

Your Bespoke Commissioned Piece

The final stage is receiving your bespoke commissioned piece and displaying it in your desired space. Congratulations, your vision has been realised!

Commissioning a Piece of Art

Initial Consultation

Once you contact me, I will respond within 48 hours to arrange a time to discuss your vision.

This includes dimensions, layout, framing options, colours, textures, and general themes. Whilst the nature of my art style is fluid and I cannot guarantee specific shapes or forms, we can discuss ideas to clarify the concepts.

I encourage you to familiarise yourself with my artwork, and take note of anything in particular you like or don’t like.

I recognise and have a deep appreciation for your trust in me as the Artist. I also recognise that you hold the original vision of the piece of art, and together we will collaborate until you are confident I understand and share your vision.
