Energy, Flow and Movement

My artistic style, although contemporary, emerges from the energy, flow and movement of the colours of the five sacred elements of space, air, water, fire and earth… which are as ancient as time itself.

The creation of my conceptual abstract artwork comes from a place of connecting with my inner world, enabling me to connect with these sacred elements and colours. My artistic journey has developed my awareness of the invisible connection between the elements of my inner world and those of the outside world.

My intention in creating each piece is for it to bring immense benefit, giving you an opportunity to observe the elements and colours expressed on the canvas and connect with your own inner world. We live in such busy, chaotic and stressful times, and ancient wisdom holds that living in such a way creates imbalance and discord with our inner elements. My artwork is designed to help us encourage homeostasis, to restore a sense of equilibrium. The energy of artwork created in the essence of a particular element assists this process. If you tune in to your inner world, you will intuitively and naturally know which element or elements you need to restore balance.

My artworks are for those fortunate enough to possess the wisdom that prioritises making space in life to slow down and connect with their inner world… the inner dimension. Those able to pause and contemplate my artwork. My artwork has the potential to be a catalyst for those people, and they may experience a surreal recognition of the timeless invisible connection between our outer world and our inner world.

To possess the wisdom that values connecting with your inner world is rare… to recognise the invisible connection between outer and inner is rarer still.

Magic Dance

My artistic process more closely reflects a magic dance. I lead the dance by placing vibrant colourful materials symbolising the energy of certain elements, materials that have flow and movement… then I relax and let go of control as I allow the real magic to occur as the dancing flow and movement of the materials express their creation.

Sometimes their expression occurs quickly… however most times it evolves slowly, requiring patience and curiosity.

My part of the dance continues until the energy, flow and movement on the canvas feels complete. The next part of the dance will be led by you…
